The MFSL Gold CD Legacy
The MFSL Gold CD legacy journey began in mid 1970’s. Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab (MFSL) began a revolution that was only possible to hear in live performances or studio recordings. Their popularity rose very quickly when the recording studio got the rights to release the Beatles recording over the course of 8 years. The popularity of the Beatles recordings helped the small recording studio to skyrocket to the top of the Audiophiles lest of must own list when it comes to music.

MFSL GOLD CD
Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab brilliantly chose recordings to feature on their now famous MFSL gold cd. All of the recordings the company chose to feature initially were compositions that featured an amazing array of sounds and character. These recordings were able to be eloquently featured using the gold ultradisk. Using the gold substrate allowed the recording engineers to add many more bites of information that the tradition substrate or even their first substrate made out of aluminum.
Featuring artists that used a wide variety of musical depth in their recordings really allowed MFSL to show the beauty of their recording prowess. These recordings gave credence to the process that helped to revolutionize how cds are recorded and how they sounded in when being played.
Forever MFSL will be remembered as the recording studio that first brought high quality recordings to compact disks, Up until that time, no recording had ever tried to approach the quality of analog LP recordings. While the level of sophistication us not what they can produce today, the stylings that the gold MFSL offered brought not only a high quality product, but a very aesthetically pleasing recording as well.
